Redo

Last night I returned home from an incredible weekend in SF to find my roommate rummaging through her closet and discarding items she no longer wanted. As I was sitting on the floor entertaining the cat, she walked up to me with a long skinny scarf in her hands. She looked puzzled. "Should I keep this?" I asked her if she'd wear it and she replied, "Well...it's pretty, but I want it to lie flat and it won't stop curling up." I took a look at the scarf and realized from the pattern that there was no way she'd ever be able to stop it from doing so, so I offered to reknit it in the same style, but so it would lie flat. So, thus, I have a new project.
