Post-E3 wind down

Wow. Last week was insanity. Not only was it the E3 video game convention, I also had to prepare for being interviewed twice (once on the G4 network and once for an upcoming video game documentary) and doing two interviews (System of a Down's Serj Tankian and Billy Bob Thornton) in addition to turning in copy since deadlines are upon me. Come yesterday, I was exhausted and spent most of the day sleeping and reading Harry Potter.

But even though the week was exhausting, here are some highlights:

- Watching Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stone Age rock the Troubadour, then between sets doing a shot with Peter Moore, the VP of Microsoft's Xbox division, and friends.

- Going on G4 for a second time to talk about what's changed with E3. Next time, less blinking.

- Eating dinner at Chez Jay with indie publisher Gamecock and the zaniness of guest Ron Jeremy

- Stealing away moments to hang out with S

- Winning my first ever MMO deathmatch round with the game Fury.

And what about the games? Here's what I'm excited about:
- Mass Effect
- Grand Theft Auto IV
- Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles (Symphony of the Night included with extra content? You don't say!)
- Legendary: The Box
- Dementium: The Ward
- Mushroom Men
- Metal Gear Solid 4
- Manhunt 2 (should it ever come out)
- Bioshock (duh)
- WiiFit
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
- Metroid 3: Corruption
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Condemned 2
- Resident Evil 5 (yes. I realize there is only a trailer. If you think this matters, obviously you didn't play Resident Evil 4.)

Oh, and here's a relatively recent pic of me before I went to the hairdresser who doesn't know how to follow directions...anyone know a good stylist in Los Angeles?
