July 4th

July 4th was a blast - especially if you count all the er...legal? fireworks we set off. Considering the day featured a trip to the farmer's market where S and I bought waay too many vegetables, a trip to the horse track, some tasty bbq, and fireworks it was kind of hard for it to go wrong. Well, except that I really shouldn't keep trying to gamble. I've never won, and even though I'm sitting there betting on the best horses to win, place, or show and losing, that should be telling me this isn't my calling. But it was fun anyway.

Horsies!

B's trying to make a good bet.

Mmmm...tri-tip

B and M brought over their new puppy Roswell. It's in the running for the cutest. dog. ever.

Time to grill

  1. Gourmet BBQ on the street. That's how we keep it real in Venice. Did you notice the fireworks (and centerpiece cat) on the dining room table. The 4th rocks!
