Holy Posts!

Wow. It has been for-ev-er since I've written. Oops. Sorry about that!

Things have been good, but not too much exciting has happened.

This past week, the place I worked for threw a swanky party at the Roosevelt hotel and I mixed it up with my fellow coworkers, some gaming industry folks, and rubbed elbows with some celebs I had invited (including a member of the Backstreet Boys...strange for those of you who know what I usually listen to). It was a good party with a nice turnout.

Literally, the last month has been such a blur I'm going to have to look at my calendar to tell you what's up. I do know that my calves are killing me and that I'm limping because I did three runs on the Santa Monica stairs - about 600 stairs up and 600 stairs down (how many flights is that?) on Saturday morning. I haven't been able to walk right since. Ouch. Let's hope they feel better by this weekend.

Atari (my kitty) got pampered this weekend. I went shopping for her yesterday and she got a scratching post, a new water dispenser, and a purple igloo litter box so hopefully she won't get nearly as much litter all over the floor when she's going absolutely bonkers and kicking it everywhere.

My roommate got an iPhone. I want one. They're pretty and do everything, including google maps, which would be great since I'm always getting my butt lost. I'm always trying to find "shortcuts" then an hour later I'm lost in El Segundo asking random people for directions. Thank goodness Los Angelenos are nice.

I still love it here, but the "oh my god there are palm trees and it's nice all the time has kind of worn off. That said, I certainly don't want to leave. I much prefer (so far) traffic to crowded subway trains. Hmm...what else is new...S and I have been making half-hearted attempts at going to yoga. We both bought passes but it is at 7 in the morning, and well, that's kind of early. But we have been getting our exercise - we've been going dancing quite often (mostly on accident) which has been great as I love dancing and haven't done it in ages! Otherwise, it's just been a lot of meetings and work, but things are good.

Today I'm running all over Los Angeles - from Burbank to Santa Monica to Culver City listening to new music for the column. I am totally digging on the new Frank Black record, which I was really skeptical about and the new Supagroup. That band is amazing.

Love,
Tweed
