The Great Outdoors - Round 2

For S's birthday a bunch of us went to Lopez Lake in San Luis Obispo (I insist on pronouncing this place Oh-bees-poe though I know that's wrong. whatever.) to go swimming, fishing (after which I went vegetarian for a good few days but have seriously cut back on my meat intake), and wine tasting. It's really gorgeous country up there - when you first wake up there is dense fog hovering on the tops of the hills and there is a chill in the air, but the minute that starts to dissipate, watch out, because it gets hot in a matter of minutes.

While up there, I went wine tasting for the first time. We went to two places, and S bought a bottle at the second place (the wines at the first place were meh). I didn't buy any wine, but I did have a lot of fun at the third place which we couldn't even get into because it was full. Because you know what - wine tasting isn't about being snobby about wine - it's about having fun!

And I met Smokey the Bear!
