Feeling a little overwhelmed over here. Tonight should be good - going to a party at Scott Weiland's studio (you know, the guy from Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver) and tomorrow is back to San Diego for another gaming event. Last night S and I hit Hollywood for a movie premiere to Punk's Not Dead. It was ok. The documentarians managed to get their hands on some great live footage of Operation Ivy and Green Day, but the film didn't feel organized and there were too many interviews with the same bands - the U.K. Subs, Subhumans, and the Adicts. I would have liked to hear more from the Damned, the Clash, the Sex Pistols, the Dead Kennedys, the Misfits, etc. and ift would have been nice if there was some chronological or thematic arc. In any case, it was still fun, but not a must-see. But, it did give me an opportunity to wear my new babydoll dress that has skulls and pirate swords on it (but somehow manages to be not cheesy, even though I realize I wore it a week after Pirates of the Caribbean debuted.
I want to buy one of these, but I have no idea how to pick which, and I don't really need to spend $300 on Cheshire cat toys, so I've got to decide. Any thoughts? I'm leaning toward the haunted mansion one...
I've been talking to may parents about them visiting, which would be great. I think they would love california. There are so many places I'd like to show them. It would be great to show them where I went over this past weekend, but that's a bit of a drive (approximately 5 hours), so that would have to probably be its own special trip.
