Day 38

I've been a very bad blogger! But, that's just because I've been busy having fun, so that's ok, right? :) Ok, well to catch you up to speed, here's what I've been doing:

- went to San Diego for Sony's gamer day. That was pretty awesome. Got to see all my gamer peeps (and I did blog about this one)

- went to Malibu. Beautiful. I laid out with my friend D on the sand and we watched as prop planes flew overhead and made all the pelicans sitting on the island in front of us lift into the air and circle around us for a good five minutes.

- went to the Santa Monica Farmer's Market where I had a delicious apple cinnamon pancake and admired all the super fresh produce. mmm. I also walked there and back and managed to get a wicked sunburn! oops. Now I look sort of silly since I have a tank top sunburn, and you know, that's just perfect for the approaching swimsuit season.

- went to the Hollywood Cemetery with S to watch The Player with a few other thousand people. It was a great time, as we brought some picnic goodies along (brie, olives, bread, wine, etc.), though next time we'll have to figure a way to get closer! Sorry about the fuzzy pic.

- had lunch with the guy producing Britney Spears's record and who just produced that hot Sean Kingston single. He's also responsible for one of my favorite singles from last summer - Rihanna's "S.O.S."

- saw Natasha Bedingfield sing three of her songs acoustic in a hotel room on Sunset. She's got such a gorgeous voice, even without any producing. I'm sure her "Daises" song will be a hit later this summer when it hits radio.

- hung out with Every Time I Die and listened to their upcoming album. Diehard hardcore fans aren't going to be pleased, but it's a good record, and I'm interested to hear it again when it's done.

- saw Slash and his fam at a little restaurant in the canyons. The company was great, as was the food (pasta with mushrooms).

- checked out the upcoming Madden game, then watched as the new NFL rookies got all up in arms when they found out their stats.

- went to a gaming event for Stuntman: Ignition, where they had real life stuntmen doing tricks with their cars on the top of a parking garage in downtown Hollywood. I got to take a ride in one - totally exciting. I have to upload the videos (and a billion other photos).

- had way too many margaritas with Z and K the other night. The drinks were delicious, but after four or so, I definitely needed K to order my pinkberry for me while I stood there and giggled.

- sat in a Lotus. Those cars are tiny, but I can imagine how fun they might be to drive.

- played the upcoming Castlevania X. I know all of you are wicked jealous. Ok, maybe with the exception of L, who probably played it too.

- went to a Dodger game and got to see Nomar (a former beloved Red Sox shortstop) play. The bats are pink because it was Mother's Day. Note: there are palm trees outside the stadium.

- started knitting a sheep. His real name is Woolie the Ewe, but I'm calling him Mr. Sheepy. He's pretty much the cutest thing ever, though right now he only has two ears, a tail, and a foot and a half. I'm knitting him in pink and black. Mr. Sheepy

Tonight I'm off to a five course dinner with wine pairing at a restaurant within the Disney concert hall with some friends, then this weekend I'll be going hiking and camping in the middle of California with seven other people. All of us are required to pair up and make one meal for the group, and I'm making crepes. I've never made crepes before on an outdoor grill before, so here's to hoping they turn out delicious!

The workout regime has grinded to a halt. Gotta start it up again. No excuses, really, just being lazy :) But it would probably be a good idea to work on since I'm developing a wicked addiction to In-N-Out's animal style protein burger.
